About

Hi! I'm Chantel, and I love all things creative. I have a degree in Music & Sound Recording from the University of New Haven in 2022 with a concentration in live sound engineering as well as formal education in the fine arts. Music has always been a visual as well as auditory experience for me, and I started looking for ways to combine my love of traditional art and creating visuals with my passion for live music, and found an outlet through concert photography. I also have experience working in studios as a producer, engineer, and session musician, as well as live audio mixing and engineering. I believe live music is a powerful force, and being a part of creating that experience for other people and now being able to capture the magic through a lens while flexing my creative muscles has brought me a great sense of fulfillment. I'm currently based in New Haven, Connecticut, but frequent New York City, Boston, and other parts of New England, and I'm always up for an adventure traveling to shows.

I started shooting live events in 2022 and have been working on pushing myself creatively and technically. I've shot artists like Flipturn, Phoenix, Jukebox the Ghost, Andrew McMahon, Dashboard Confessional, Lucy Dacus, Phillip Phillips, Mt. Joy, Noah Kahan, Stephen Kellogg and more, as well as the local Shoreline Summer Music Festival. I currently work with the online blog and podcast Alternative Lately, and am also available for local hire and small tours.
